Frequently asked questions

What is an event on Sideout?

It is a page for organizing a beach volleyball activity with type, date, time, location, participants, description, and a shareable link.

What is the difference between pickup, training, and tournament?

Pickup is casual play; training is a guided activity, usually with a coach or organizer; tournament is a structured competition with registrations, teams, results, and podiums.

Does the event have a public link?

Yes. After publishing, you can share the event link with players and groups. Private events can also be accessed through a private invite/link.

Do I need to select a registered arena?

Ideally, yes. Linking a registered arena improves location context, check-in, and discovery, but you can still fill city and state when needed.

Can I edit the event later?

Yes. Keep date, time, location, description, spots, and WhatsApp link updated to avoid confusion.

Can I reuse an event that already happened?

Yes. You can duplicate an existing or past event to create a new edition. When duplicating a past event, participants from the original event are automatically invited to join the new one.
